Netanyahu's Office Says His Residence Expenses Are Significantly Lower Than Previous PMs

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to recent reports on the expenses of his official residences, stating that the costs during his tenure are substantially lower compared to previous prime ministers. They highlighted that during former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's term, routine expenses amounted to 1,370,362 shekels, excluding personnel and security costs. In contrast, during a comparable period under Netanyahu, these expenses totaled only 465,319 shekels, also excluding personnel and security, which is less than one-third of Bennett's spending. The statement aimed to contextualize and clarify the financial data related to the maintenance and operation of the prime minister's official residences.
