3-Year-Old Girl in Jerusalem Chokes on Grape, Stabilized After Resuscitation
A three-year-old girl in Jerusalem choked on a grape at her home on Tuesday. Emergency medical teams performed prolonged resuscitation efforts until her heart resumed beating. Paramedics Eliyahu Shlomi, Yair Aba Shaul, and Yishai Ruben reported that they found the girl unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and quickly began advanced life-saving procedures including chest compressions and ventilation. Using advanced medical equipment, they removed grape pieces from her throat. After stabilizing her condition, they transported her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in serious but stable condition, where she remains sedated and on a ventilator.
