Aviv Aronov Shines in European Youth Basketball Championship, Eyes College Career in US

Aviv Aronov, a promising Israeli basketball talent from Even Yehuda, has made a remarkable breakthrough at the European Youth Basketball Championship. After a strong performance in the cadet European Championship and a less prominent role last year in the youth category, Aronov has now emerged as a leading figure, averaging 26.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, including back-to-back 30-point games against Greece and France. His shooting accuracy from beyond the arc stands at an impressive 43%, leading the league he played in during his time at Huntington High School in West Virginia.

Aronov's basketball journey began in Israel with M.S. Even Yehuda, followed by stints at Hapoel Tel Aviv, Galil Elyon, and Ramat Hasharon, where he gained valuable experience in both youth and senior teams. His personal coach, Asaf Yagel, highlights Aronov's versatility, technical skills, and maturity, noting his ability to play multiple positions and his calmness under pressure. Aronov is set to continue his development in the United States, having committed to Eastern Michigan University, a Division 1 college known for producing NBA talents, where he will play under coach Billy Donlon.
