Israeli Free Agents Seek New Clubs Amid Active Transfer Window

As the global and Israeli football transfer window is underway, several Israeli players currently without clubs are actively searching for new teams. Among them is Matan Hozez, who parted ways with Hapoel Jerusalem after three seasons and is reportedly being pursued by Hapoel Ramat Gan and S.C. Ashdod, with potential moves abroad, including Austria's Grazer AK, also under consideration.

Eli Dasa, a prominent Israeli defender, recently left NEC Nijmegen after one season when the club declined to renew his contract. Although Maccabi Tel Aviv has shown interest in bringing him back, Dasa is currently waiting for overseas offers, with Cyprus champion Omonia Nicosia expressing long-term interest.

Midfielder Ilai Elmkayes, once a promising talent, is seeking a new club after relegation with Bnei Reineh. Hapoel Petah Tikva has offered him a two-year contract, but negotiations remain unresolved. Yoav Hofmeister, sidelined for over a year due to medical issues, has yet to secure a club despite past interest from Polish teams and Beitar Jerusalem.

Defender Ziv Morgan, whose contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv ended, is reportedly in advanced talks with Ironi Tiberias and has been offered to Bnei Sakhnin. Ophek Biton, recovering from a cruciate ligament tear after his stint with Hapoel Haifa, currently has no club interest until he regains fitness.

Other free agents include Michael Ohana, who had a strong season with Maccabi Haifa but is now looking for a new team; Aviv Avraham, in talks with Hapoel Afula after a mixed season at Hapoel Kiryat Shmona; and Aviel Zargari, recently released after his Romanian club Hermannstadt was relegated. Eden Shamir and Liran Sardal, both out of contract, are also exploring options, with Sardal's future at Hapoel Haifa still uncertain amid differing views within the club.
