Israeli Soccer Players Make European and American Transfers
Israeli national team left-back Roi Revivo has transferred from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Spanish club Elche for an estimated 2.5 million euros. This move follows a trend of Israeli players seeking opportunities abroad.
In other transfers, 20-year-old Israeli forward Saeid Abu Farhi has joined the Colorado Rapids in the United States from Maccabi Tel Aviv for 5.2 million euros, according to Transfermarkt. Peruvian forward Adrian Ugarriza moved from Ironi Kiryat Shmona to Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
Israeli attacking midfielder Gabi Kaniovsky has returned to Israel, signing with Maccabi Tel Aviv from Ferencváros of Hungary, where he played last summer. He was one of several Israeli players to leave the Hungarian club after Robbie Keane's departure.
