Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Cyera Acquires Startup Oasis Security for $1 Billion

Israeli cybersecurity company Cyera announced on July 28, 2026, the signing of a letter of intent to acquire the Israeli startup Oasis Security in a deal valued at approximately $1 billion. The acquisition aims to merge the security platforms of both companies to provide a comprehensive solution for organizations facing new challenges related to artificial intelligence (AI).

The integration targets protection of sensitive data and AI bots, known as AI agents, which operate autonomously within large companies' systems. These AI agents can locate, analyze, and act on information without human intervention, creating new security risks. The combined platform will enable organizations to control access between sensitive data and any software or bots requesting it, addressing a growing need as computerized systems increasingly replace human roles.

According to the companies, there has been a 480% surge in "non-human identities", access keys and service accounts used by software and bots, among Fortune 500 companies in the past six months. Under the deal, Oasis will continue to operate as an independent unit within Cyera, focusing on securing these identities.

Cyera CEO and co-founder Yotam Segev emphasized that the AI era changes how organizations protect their data, stating, "Every security decision starts with understanding what information needs protection and who or what is requesting access." Oasis Security CEO and co-founder Danny Brickman highlighted their shared vision for the future of cybersecurity, noting that while Cyera redefined data security, Oasis redefined identities for the AI era.

This acquisition follows Cyera's recent $600 million funding round, which valued the company at $12 billion. Industry experts view the deal as a milestone for the Israeli tech sector, representing a strategic union of two leading local firms to build a unified AI security platform.
