Thousands Attend Funeral of Rabbi Avraham Menachem in Migdal HaEmek and Jerusalem

Rabbi Avraham Menachem, a revered Torah scholar, passed away at the age of 79. His funeral took place last Friday, beginning at his study hall "Ner HaTzafon" in Migdal HaEmek. Numerous prominent rabbis and community leaders delivered eulogies there, including Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman, Rabbi Eliyahu Kalfa, his brothers Rabbi David and Rabbi Moshe Menachem, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Lasri of Beit Shean, Rabbi Shalom Shitrit from the Nazer HaTorah Yeshiva, Rabbi Yitzchak Gutman, Rabbi Yehuda Mizrahi, his sons Rabbi Shimon Menachem and Rabbi Yehuda Menachem, Rabbi Asher Ben David, and Migdal HaEmek Mayor Yaakov Ben Chaim.

The funeral procession then proceeded from the yeshiva to the Shamgar funeral home in Jerusalem. There, additional eulogies were delivered by leading figures including Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel who studied with the deceased in their youth, the current Sephardi Chief Rabbi Rabbi David Yosef, Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen of the Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood and son-in-law of the deceased, Rabbi Moshe Shitrit head of the Ner HaTzafon kollel, his son Rabbi Yigal Menachem, Rabbi Revach, and Shas party chairman MK Aryeh Deri.

Following the eulogies, Rabbi Avraham Menachem was laid to rest at the Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem. The large turnout reflected his significant impact on the religious communities in both northern Israel and Jerusalem.
