Maccabi Tel Aviv Sets High Price for Striker Sayid Abu Farhi Amid Growing Interest
Sayid Abu Farhi has started the 2026/2027 season impressively, scoring two goals against Be'er Sheva in the Aluf HaAlim and another two against Sheriff Tiraspol. His strong performances have attracted increasing attention from scouts across Europe. Ahead of the Thursday match against Sheriff, scouts from Italian clubs Genoa and possibly Torino, as well as representatives from the Russian league, are expected to attend and monitor his progress.
Despite the growing interest, a transfer this summer appears unlikely due to Maccabi Tel Aviv's high asking price. Given Abu Farhi's talent and young age, the club has set a price around seven million euros. Looking ahead, the player is expected to target a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) in January, which is his preferred destination financially. For now, Maccabi Tel Aviv aims to retain him for another season before considering a sale.
