Maccabi Tel Aviv Striker Said Abu Farhi Transfers to Colorado MLS Team for $6 Million
Said Abu Farhi, a 20-year-old striker who rose through Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth system, is officially leaving the club to join a Major League Soccer (MLS) team in Colorado. The transfer deal is reportedly worth $6 million, marking one of the largest transactions in Israeli football history. Abu Farhi will not travel with Maccabi Tel Aviv for their upcoming second-leg playoff match against Lugano in Batumi, as he prepares to relocate to the United States.
During his tenure at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Abu Farhi scored 15 goals in 52 appearances. Prior to this move, he spent two seasons on loan at Maccabi Bnei Reineh and M.S. Kafr Qasim. Upon joining Colorado, he will become the eighth Israeli player to compete in the MLS, following players such as Tai Baribo, Liel Abada, Dor Turgeman, Idan Toklomati, Ilay Feingold, Or Blorian, and Ran Ben Basat.
