Maccabi Tel Aviv Forward Said Abu Farhi Transfers to Colorado MLS Team for $6 Million
Said Abu Farhi, a 20-year-old striker who developed in Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth system, is officially leaving the Israeli club to join a Major League Soccer (MLS) team in Colorado. The transfer deal is reportedly worth 6 million dollars, marking one of the largest transactions in Israeli football history. Abu Farhi will not travel with Maccabi Tel Aviv to Batumi for their Conference League playoff return leg against Lugano, as he departs ahead of the match.
During his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Abu Farhi scored 15 goals in 52 appearances. Prior to this transfer, he spent two seasons on loan at Maccabi Bnei Reineh and M.S. Kafr Qasim. Upon joining Colorado, Abu Farhi will become the eighth Israeli player in MLS, following others such as Tai Baribo, Liel Abada, Dor Turgeman, Idan Toklomati, Ilay Feingold, Or Blorian, and Ran Ben Basat.
