Maccabi Tel Aviv Forward Said Abu Farhi Finalizes Contract Awaiting MLS Approval

Following the transfer agreement between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Colorado Rapids for striker Said Abu Farhi, the player's contract has now been finalized and submitted to the MLS league office for approval. In MLS, all player contracts must be approved by the league administration, which is currently reviewing Abu Farhi's deal. The contract includes various performance incentives, such as bonuses for goals scored and appearances. Despite being expected to attend Maccabi Tel Aviv's training session this morning, Abu Farhi is unlikely to play in tomorrow's Toto Cup semi-final against Maccabi Netanya. His recent substitute appearance against CSKA Sofia is anticipated to be his last for the Israeli club. The transfer fee agreed between the clubs is a base amount of six million dollars, with an additional one million dollars in goal-scoring bonuses, similar to the arrangement Maccabi Tel Aviv has with New England Revolution for Dor Turgeman. The deal also includes future sell-on percentages if Abu Farhi is transferred outside the United States. Sources close to Abu Farhi estimate he will fly to the United States on Tuesday to complete the move.
