Trump blasts Iran over leaked deal details and drone attack
President Donald Trump issued an angry statement on his social media platform accusing Iran of misleading the press and undermining the terms of a written agreement. He said the conditions Iran leaked to what he called “fake media” were not connected to the deal’s actual written provisions.
Trump rejected Iran’s claim that an agreement had been reached, calling its statement “weak and pathetic” and saying it bore no resemblance to the truth. He described the Iranian side as “very disrespectful” and said it was impossible to negotiate with them in good faith.
He also condemned an Iranian drone attack overnight against Indian ships that had departed the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said the attack was completely repelled and called it “totally unacceptable.” He warned Iran to “get its act together, and fast.”
