Israeli Police Seek Public Help to Locate Mother and Two Children Suspected in Kidnapping Case

Israeli police have launched an investigation into a suspected child kidnapping involving a mother and her two children. The mother, identified as Aliyah Joy Hirschberg, is accused of abducting her children, Tala Reizel, aged three, and Natan Yaakov Verona, approximately one year old. According to police findings, the mother and children entered Israel in August 2025, after which all contact with them was lost. Authorities suspect they may currently be in the Jerusalem area.

The family originally lived in Canada, and the case reportedly stems from a dispute between the parents. It is alleged that the mother left Canada with her children, using her Israeli citizenship to enter Israel. Following their disappearance, a court issued an arrest warrant for the mother after a prolonged legal process. The mother's partner hired a private investigator who confirmed her presence in Israel.

The Jerusalem District police are appealing to the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of the mother and her children to assist in their safe recovery. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities emphasize the urgency of locating the family amid concerns of child abduction.
