Tel Aviv's Ahuzat HaHof Parking Lots Raise Prices by 20% Starting August

Starting August 2, 2026, Tel Aviv's Ahuzat HaHof parking lots and the municipality will increase parking fees by approximately 20% for non-residents. The hourly rate for non-residents will rise from 20 to 24 shekels, while Tel Aviv residents will pay 6 shekels per hour instead of 5. Single-entry or evening parking fees will increase from 30 to 36 shekels for non-residents and from 7.5 to 9 shekels for residents. Additionally, resident discounts at several parking lots, including Tel Nordau, Basel, Sheraton, Bogroshov, and Bnei Dan, will be reduced from 75% to 50%. A new rule will also eliminate resident rates after 96 consecutive hours of parking, though its implementation date is not yet announced.

The municipality explained that for most residents, the increase translates to about one shekel more per hour and 1.5 shekels more per day, with rates still remaining below private parking prices. The price hike aims to balance the needs of residents and visitors in cultural and leisure areas and is driven by rising operational costs and changes from the parking law that shifted billing to a per-minute model. The parking law, which had caused a nationwide surge in parking prices, was supposed to be repealed under a metropolitan authorities law. However, opposition from Haredi parties prevented the vote on that law, resulting in the continued rise of parking fees across Israel.

Ahuzat HaHof is Tel Aviv-Yafo's municipal parking network, managing dozens of regulated lots strategically located throughout the city, from business centers and entertainment districts to the beachfront.
