Netanyahu Heads to Washington to Discuss Iran and Peace Efforts with President Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington on Monday to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. Ahead of his flight, Netanyahu emphasized that Iran would be the primary topic of discussion, alongside efforts to expand the circle of peace in the region. He noted that this would be his eighth meeting with Trump since the president's second term began, more than with any other international leader, describing it as both a great honor and a significant responsibility.

Netanyahu stressed the need for both determination and wisdom in addressing complex times, stating that the talks would cover all pressing issues, with Iran at the forefront. He highlighted Israel's goal to maintain its security while broadening peace around it. Additionally, Netanyahu mentioned that during his visit, he would pay his final respects to Senator Lindsey Graham, whom he called a true friend of both himself and the State of Israel, and one of Israel's greatest supporters of all time. Netanyahu expressed confidence that he represented the sentiments of Israeli citizens in this regard.
