Netanyahu Plans US Visit for Senator Graham's Funeral Amid Iran Tensions

The primary purpose of the visit is to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham. During his stay, Netanyahu is also expected to hold a meeting with President Trump at the White House, although the exact timing of the meeting has not yet been finalized. The funeral is set for 2:00 p.m. Washington time (9:00 p.m. Israel time).

The Prime Minister's Office announced that Netanyahu will fly on the "Wing of Zion" aircraft, with the departure time kept confidential for security reasons. Notably, Netanyahu will not be accompanied by journalists on this trip. Efforts are underway to arrange additional meetings for Netanyahu while in Washington, but the schedule remains tight and details have not been fully disclosed.

Former Israeli Consul General in Houston Gilad Katz, speaking recently, indicated that the discussions will cover the full spectrum of challenges facing the Middle East, emphasizing the strategic cooperation between Israel and the U.S. and Israel's red lines. Katz also noted the meeting will provide an opportunity for the two leaders to coordinate positions and highlight their countries' key interests.
