New Song by Late Israeli Actor Alon Abutbul Released One Year After His Death

A year after his passing, a new song by Israeli actor and musician Alon Abutbul has been released. The song, titled "In a Dream," was written and performed by Abutbul and recorded before his death at age 60. The music was composed and produced by Moshe Daabul, with whom Abutbul worked in the Hararit studio. The song is being released in its original recorded form.

Alon Abutbul, who collapsed and died last year after leaving the sea at Hof HaBunim beach, was one of Israel's most prominent actors. He won the Ophir Award and was nominated for the prestigious British theater award, the Olivier, for his role in the musical "The Band's Visit." His film career included notable roles in "Saturdays and Holidays," "Nina's Tragedies," "Beaufort," and "Shiva," as well as international films such as "Rambo III" alongside Sylvester Stallone, Steven Spielberg's "Munich," and Ridley Scott's espionage thriller "Body of Lies" with Leonardo DiCaprio.

In addition to acting, Abutbul pursued music, releasing his debut album "Family Business" three years ago with his daughter Elia and members of the band HaMasach HaLavan. Following his death, his second album in English, "Footprints on Water," was released last November. The new song "In a Dream" adds to his artistic legacy, showcasing his musical talents alongside his celebrated acting career.
