The board of Israel Railways has approved the appointment of Avshalom (Avi) Almaliach as the acting CEO of the company. Almaliach currently serves as the Vice President of Planning and Operations and is the deputy CEO. This appointment is subject to the approval of the committee responsible for reviewing executive appointments. The company disclosed this update in a filing to the stock exchange. Meanwhile, the search for a permanent CEO continues after the first recruitment process ended unsuccessfully. Additionally, Avner Flor was appointed as the new chairman of the Israel Railways board.
