Elder Breslov Rabbi Attends Pidyon Haben Celebration in Pinsk-Karlin

On the evening of July 25, a significant Pidyon Haben (redemption of the firstborn son) ceremony took place at the holy residence of the late Rebbe of Mendelborna, known as the 'Be'er Yaakov.' The event celebrated the redemption of the grandson of several prominent Hasidic leaders, including the Mendelborna, Kasov, Vizhnitz, and Almin dynasties, as well as the grandson of the Av Beit Din of Arloi Elad. The role of the redeemer was fulfilled by the Rebbe of Spinka Kahana.

The celebration was part of a series of notable Hasidic events occurring around the same time. The Rebbe of Seret Vizhnitz was resting in the Austrian resort town of Kreischberg, while the Montreal Vizhnitz Rebbe held a completion ceremony of a Talmudic tractate in the Belz Hasidic synagogue in Canada. In Jerusalem and other locations, various Hasidic groups commemorated Tisha B’Av with prayers, lamentations, and gatherings, including the Kretschneff Rebbe in Kiryat Gat and the Williamsburg Kretschneff Rebbe in Monroe.

Other highlights included a 'Havurah Hitkashrut' gathering led by the Bastan Rebbe at the Western Wall, and the joint Shabbat prayers by the Vizhnitz London and Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbes in the Galilee. Thousands of followers also participated in a thanksgiving meal hosted by the Skulen Rebbe of Jerusalem, celebrating the rescue of their ancestors from imprisonment in Romania.
