IDF Seals Home of Terrorist Behind Deadly West Bank Shooting Attack

The Israel Defense Forces completed sealing the home of the terrorist who carried out a deadly shooting attack in the Kfar Tal area of the Samaria Division, where two IDF soldiers were killed. The sealing was authorized by the Central Command commander as a temporary measure ahead of the home's full demolition. This action follows a detailed mapping operation conducted by IDF and Shin Bet forces in the area. The terrorist was killed immediately after the attack by security forces, and the stolen weapon was recovered.

Security forces are continuing legal and operational preparations for the complete demolition of the terrorist's house, with decisions to be made according to security recommendations and required approvals. This policy is part of a broader response to lethal terror attacks throughout Judea and Samaria. Concurrently, the IDF is conducting extensive operations in the Samaria region, including arrests, interrogations, and weapons seizures, focusing on villages with increased terror activity to prevent further attacks and dismantle terror infrastructure.

The attack over the weekend resulted in the deaths of two IDF soldiers: Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, commander of a battery in the Artillery Corps' 411th Battalion, and Staff Sergeant (res.) Benyahu Malat, 32, from Yitzhar, a combat commander in the Jerusalem Brigade's 8119th Battalion and a member of the security team in the settlement of Havat Gilad. Following the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered immediate demolition of the terrorist's home and intensified operations in terror hotspot villages. The IDF declared a closure on exits in the area and is reinforcing forces to strengthen defense and capture all terrorists involved.

IDF Spokesperson stated that forces will continue proactive and offensive actions to thwart terrorism and bring terrorists to justice. The operational activity is expected to continue in the coming days with an emphasis on locating terror infrastructures and preventing additional attacks.
