Moses Wright Signs Two-Year Deal with Milan After Barcelona Exit

Moses Wright has officially signed a two-year contract with the Italian club Olimpia Milano, concluding a summer saga after previously being agreed upon by Barcelona. Wright, a center who had an outstanding season with Zalgiris Kaunas and was considered by Israeli teams Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, chose to move to Italy instead. Milano activated a buyout clause in Wright's agreement with Barcelona, paying the Spanish club 900,000 euros, despite Wright never playing for Barcelona. His contract with Milano is reportedly worth 4.8 million euros over two years, making him one of the highest-paid centers in the EuroLeague.

Wright completed his third EuroLeague season with impressive averages of 13.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Besides Zalgiris, he also played for Olympiacos in the EuroLeague. Wright has a brief NBA background with the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks, appearing in only four NBA games, and has also competed in the Chinese and Turkish leagues.

In parallel, basketball legend Sergio Llull, aged 38, signed for another season with Real Madrid, marking nearly 20 years with the club since joining in 2007. Llull holds the record for most appearances in Real Madrid history with 1,249 games and has won 29 titles, including three EuroLeague championships and nine Spanish league titles.

Additionally, Barcelona announced the signing of guard Tyrese Martin, who has 122 NBA appearances. Martin is arriving in Europe for the first time after spending recent seasons in the NBA and G League. In the 2025-26 season, he played for Brooklyn and Philadelphia, participating in 46 games with averages of 6.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
