Moses Wright Signs Lucrative Two-Year Deal with Milan After Barcelona Exit

Moses Wright is set to join Olimpia Milano on a two-year contract worth 4.8 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid centers in the EuroLeague. The Italian club activated a buyout clause in Wright's contract with Barcelona, paying the Catalan team 900,000 euros and acquiring the American player without him ever playing for Barcelona. Wright had previously agreed to a three-year deal with Barcelona worth 1.7 million dollars per season, but the agreement fell through amid Barcelona's ongoing coaching vacancy, which may have influenced the decision.

Wright, who starred last season with Zalgiris Kaunas, averaged 13.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his third EuroLeague season. Besides Zalgiris, he also played for Olympiacos in the competition. His professional career includes brief NBA stints with the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks, totaling four NBA appearances, as well as playing in the Chinese and Turkish leagues.
