Bnei Herzliya Signs DJ Bruton, Polish League All-Star Swingman

Bnei Herzliya has officially signed American swingman DJ Bruton (26, 1.93m) for the 2026/27 basketball season, with an option for an additional year. Bruton, who was named to the Polish League All-Star team last season, joins Herzliya after leading Legia Warsaw to the Polish league championship.

Bruton began his professional career in the 2024/25 season with Lithuania's Jonava, where he averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game, earning spots on the league's foreign players first team and second overall team. He started the 2025/26 season with Italy's Udine, averaging 9.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14 games before transferring to Legia Warsaw. In Poland, he posted averages of 14.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 25.1 minutes per game, helping secure the league title and earning a place on the league's foreign players first team.

Herzliya coach Yehou Orland praised Bruton as a versatile player capable of playing three positions, with strong ball-handling, scoring, defense, and toughness. Orland highlighted Bruton's ability to perform under playoff pressure and expressed optimism about his potential to improve further. Bruton expressed enthusiasm about joining Bnei Herzliya and confidence in achieving special results with the team in the upcoming season.
