Israeli Intelligence Foils Iranian Terror Cell Targeting Officials in Israel
Israeli intelligence agencies Mossad and Shin Bet have thwarted an Iranian intelligence attempt to infiltrate an operational terror cell into Israel aimed at attacking Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide. According to Mossad and Shin Bet, in cooperation with international intelligence services, Israeli intelligence uncovered that Iranian intelligence officers recruited criminal networks to smuggle foreign operatives into Israel. One key figure, Tharout Ozkor, known as "Philip," who lived in France, was recruited by proxy criminal agents Abba Mahu-Zadeh Haji Jafan and Mahmat Nadim Yait, both residing in Iran and linked to drug lord Naji Sharifi Zindashti. To advance the mission, "Philip" traveled multiple times to Iran to meet with his handlers. International investigations revealed senior ministry officials behind the operation, including Asadollah Behzad Okhsari, who was eliminated in the "Tiger Roar" operation. Due to his involvement, "Philip" was expelled from France.
