Shin Bet Thwarts Significant Iranian Assassination Threat Against Yair Netanyahu in Miami

Dramatic details emerged on Saturday regarding an Iranian assassination attempt targeting Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to reports, Iranian intelligence operatives reached the vicinity of Yair Netanyahu's residence in Miami, Florida. The Shin Bet acted urgently to extract him back to Israel after identifying a significant threat to his life.

Yair Netanyahu's lawyer, Uriel Hor Nazari, recently demanded a criminal investigation from Israel Police Commissioner Major General Danni Levi against Haaretz journalist Uri Misgav. The lawyer alleges that Misgav's publications about Yair Netanyahu's whereabouts and security arrangements in Miami aided Iranian agents in locating him. The letter to the police chief claims that "following these publications, operatives acting on behalf of Iranian intelligence reached Netanyahu's residence in Miami and attempted an assassination."

The letter further states that "based directly on these reports, Iranian intelligence operatives physically arrived at the front door of the specified Miami address and carried out a sudden, targeted assassination attempt against Yair Netanyahu." The lawyer calls for an investigation into serious offenses including aiding an enemy in wartime, intentionally providing information to harm national security, endangering life, and violating privacy. The Shin Bet chief and the Attorney General's legal advisor have also been requested to intervene and initiate an inquiry.
