Yair Netanyahu Reveals Details of Alleged Assassination Attempt Linked to Iranian Intelligence

Yair Netanyahu, son of the Israeli Prime Minister, disclosed new information regarding an alleged assassination attempt against him in Miami. In a complaint letter sent to the Israeli Police Commissioner, the head of Shin Bet, and the Attorney General, Yair Netanyahu claimed that a terrorist cell operating on behalf of Iranian intelligence reached the doorstep of his Miami residence. He credited the vigilance of Shin Bet security personnel for preventing a targeted killing.

The letter accuses journalist Uri Misgav of publishing sensitive details about Netanyahu's Miami home, security arrangements, and movement patterns, which allegedly fell into hostile hands and facilitated the assassination attempt. Yair Netanyahu is demanding a criminal and security investigation against Misgav, with his lawyer, Uriel Nizri, calling for the journalist’s arrest, arguing that the published information provided the enemy with a "roadmap" that endangered Netanyahu and his guards.

In response, Uri Misgav stated that Yair Netanyahu and his family have repeatedly failed in legal actions against him and criticized the complaint as baseless harassment of the police and Shin Bet. Misgav also disputed claims about an urgent evacuation of Yair from Miami, noting that he continued to stay there after the alleged incident. He urged authorities to focus on real threats instead of what he described as "frivolous complaints."
