Israeli Soldier Wounded in North West Bank Stabbing Attack, Assailant Killed
A stabbing attack occurred Thursday in the northern West Bank near the Ganim area, where a Palestinian assailant stabbed an Israeli paratrooper soldier in the leg at a military outpost of the 890th Battalion. The soldier sustained light injuries and was treated accordingly. The attacker was shot and killed by the soldier's comrades at the scene. This incident follows an earlier stabbing attack the same day in which Itamar Cohen, a prominent settler and one of the founders of pioneering outposts, was seriously wounded. Security forces continue to respond to the rising wave of violence in the region.
