Israeli Soldier Stabbed and Attacker Killed at New Outpost in Northern West Bank

A stabbing attack occurred on Thursday at a recently established Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) outpost in the Ganin area of northern Samaria (West Bank). The assailant arrived by vehicle and exploited the soldiers' operational activity to approach and stab one of the soldiers. Two paratroopers from the 890th Battalion quickly responded by opening fire and neutralizing the attacker on the spot.

The soldier who was stabbed sustained light injuries and received initial medical treatment at the scene before being evacuated to Emek Hospital in Afula for further care. At the time of the attack, IDF forces were securing logistical operations at the outpost.

This outpost was recently set up in the Ganin area, where a new settlement named Ganin is planned but has not yet been established. Currently, the IDF maintains a security presence there as part of routine operations.
