Thousands Gather at Western Wall and Temple Mount for Tisha B'Av Prayers and Reflection

On the morning of Tisha B'Av, thousands of worshippers gathered at the Western Wall plaza and ascended to the Temple Mount to recite the Book of Lamentations, chant kinnot (dirges), and pray for the destruction of the Holy Temples. Many attendees described Tisha B'Av as a day of national introspection, unity, and prayer for a better future for the Jewish people. Berl Krumbi, chairman of the Tekuma party, highlighted the profound sense of unity, stating, "There is tremendous unity here. Twenty-four hours of a very moving connection that is not a cliché. All of Israel unites around the Western Wall."
