Israeli Authorities Rescue 22 Neglected Animals From Apartment in Kiryat Ata

Inspectors from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture rescued 22 animals of seven different species from an apartment in Kiryat Ata after receiving reports of severe neglect. The rescue operation included veterinarians from the ministry's veterinary office and the municipal veterinary officer of Kiryat Ata. Among the animals found were two dogs, four cats, nine hamsters, two gerbils, two rabbits, two ducklings, and a parakeet. They were kept in dirty, cramped cages that failed to meet their basic needs, with some animals lacking water and feeding on waste and spoiled food. Due to the health risks, the animals were transferred to a protected facility managed by the ministry, where they are receiving medical care and rehabilitation. The ministry aims to find permanent, loving homes for the rescued animals in the future.
