Israeli Police Arrest Illegal Palestinian Worker Posing as Medic in Holon Restaurant
Police officers from the Holon station in the Ayalon district arrested a 22-year-old Palestinian man from Hebron who was illegally residing in Israel and working at a restaurant in Holon while impersonating a medic wearing a kippah. The arrest occurred during a proactive operation targeting illegal residents, particularly focusing on offenses related to employment, lodging, and transportation. Upon arriving at the restaurant on HaMarkava Street, officers noticed the suspect and requested identification. Although he claimed to be an Israeli resident, police verification revealed his true identity and illegal status. The suspect was detained and taken for questioning at the Holon police station. Additionally, the restaurant owner was also detained on suspicion of employing an illegal resident. Police stated they intend to request an extension of the detention for both individuals based on the investigation findings.
