Hapoel Ramat Gan Worries Over Sharif Kiyof's Achilles Injury After Friendly Match

Hapoel Ramat Gan is closely monitoring the condition of goalkeeper Sharif Kiyof, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury during a friendly match between Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Kfar Saba on Tuesday evening. Kiyof, who was set to join Hapoel Ramat Gan for the upcoming season, had already reached a preliminary agreement with the club. The transfer was contingent on Maccabi Haifa finalizing the signings of Omri Glazer and the sale of Georgi Yermakov to Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv, which would clear the way for Kiyof's move to the newly promoted team.

Masai Dego, who coached Kiyof in both youth and senior teams at Maccabi Haifa, had identified him as his preferred goalkeeper option. However, Kiyof limped off the field around the 30th minute of the match, appearing to be in significant pain. He was immediately taken for a series of medical tests at the hospital, with the severity of the injury still unclear at the time of reporting. The main concern is a possible Achilles tendon rupture, which could lead to a lengthy absence from play and jeopardize the transfer deal.
