Trump Meets Lebanese President, Hints Lebanon May Join Abraham Accords

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun at the White House on Tuesday evening. During the meeting, Trump stated that relations between the U.S. and Lebanon are improving and pledged significant assistance to Lebanon. President Aoun expressed hope for Lebanon to achieve stability and security.

Trump suggested that Lebanon might join the Abraham Accords in the future, saying, "I think we will see many more countries joining these agreements soon." He also addressed ongoing U.S. military actions against Iran, emphasizing that the U.S. is not interested in talks unless Iran takes meaningful steps. Trump warned that the U.S. will continue to strike any Iranian nuclear sites Iran attempts to reactivate and claimed Iran would need 20 to 25 years to recover from the damage inflicted.

Regarding maritime security, Trump threatened a tenfold increase in force if Iran continues attacks on commercial ships and confirmed the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that no vessels are passing through it.
