Hapoel Jerusalem has secured forward David Roddy on a two-year contract worth $1.5 million per season as part of its efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the upcoming basketball season. Roddy, 25, standing 1.95 meters tall, was the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but struggled to establish a permanent role in the NBA.

After being drafted, Roddy was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he alternated between the main team and the G League, averaging 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in the NBA and 20.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in the G League. He later played for several NBA teams including Phoenix, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, and Denver, his last stop where he averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds over five games last season.
