Hapoel Jerusalem has secured forward David Roddy on a two-year contract worth $1.5 million per season as part of its efforts to strengthen the team for the upcoming basketball season. Roddy, 25, standing 1.95 meters tall, was the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but struggled to find a stable role in the NBA.

After being drafted, Roddy was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he alternated between the main team and the G League, averaging 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in the NBA and 20.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in the G League. He later played for Phoenix, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, and most recently Denver, where he averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds in five games last season.

Overall, Roddy appeared in 181 NBA games, averaging 6.3 points on 42.4% shooting from the field, 30% from three-point range, and 69.3% from the free-throw line, along with 2.9 rebounds and 1 assist per game.
