Israeli Midfielder Liam Harush Signs with Austrian Top League Club GAK

Israeli midfielder Liam Harush has signed a contract with Austrian top-tier club GAK until 2029. The 22-year-old, who played last season on loan at Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol, is embarking on a new challenge in his career by joining the Austrian side. Harush developed in Maccabi Haifa's youth system and moved abroad for the first time last season. During his time at Sheriff Tiraspol, he won the Moldovan Cup, scoring in the final, and helped the team finish as league runners-up.

GAK's sporting director, Tino Waurer, praised Harush's abilities, particularly highlighting his exceptional off-the-ball work and physical presence in midfield. Waurer stated, "Liam is a player with great skills who works exceptionally well without the ball. This stability in midfield is exactly what we want. At 22, he still has plenty of room to develop."

Harush aims to establish himself in the Austrian Bundesliga and continue his upward trajectory following a successful season in Moldova. His move to GAK represents a significant step in his European career as he seeks to become an important player for his new club.
