Man Under House Arrest Breaks Into Tel Aviv TV Set, Steals Equipment Worth 30,000 Shekels

The Tel Aviv District Prosecution filed serious charges on Sunday against a 35-year-old resident of Bat Yam for stealing property valued at tens of thousands of shekels. The suspect was arrested on Tuesday after breaking into an apartment on Shadal Street in central Tel Aviv, which served as the filming set for the third season of the series "The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem." He allegedly stole equipment and property used by the actors and production team, including a laptop, hard drives, memory cards, and tefillin, with an estimated value of about 30,000 shekels. Some of the stolen laptops contained parts of the series' scripts.

Police officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon area arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Shortly after, the suspect was located carrying a bag containing the stolen items. He was arrested and brought in for questioning at the police station. Representatives of the production company were also summoned, and the stolen property was returned to them.

During the investigation, it emerged that the suspect committed the offenses while violating the terms of his house arrest, which he was under due to previous property crimes. His detention was extended by the court, and the indictment accuses him of trespassing into a residence to commit a crime, violating a legal order, and theft. The police requested that his detention continue until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
