Israeli Police Attacked With Stones and Bottles During Operation in Jisr az-Zarqa
During an operation targeting weapons and drug trafficking in the village of Jisr az-Zarqa, Israeli police officers from the Romach unit and the local police station were attacked. The officers faced a violent crowd that threw stones, glass bottles, and other objects, posing a serious threat to their safety. To restore order and continue the operation, police used crowd control measures to disperse the rioters. Five suspects were arrested on suspicion of assaulting officers and disturbing public order. After interrogation, the suspects were released to house arrest. The police emphasized their zero-tolerance policy toward violence against officers and pledged to continue acting firmly against anyone who harms or obstructs law enforcement efforts.
