Israeli Police Clash With Residents During Arrest Operation in Tarabin Village
Israeli Border Police and Negev District detectives conducted a raid in the Bedouin village of Tarabin in the Negev on Wednesday night to arrest a 23-year-old suspect found in possession of a firearm and other weapons. According to police, as the forces were leaving the scene, they were pelted with stones by local residents, prompting officers to disperse the unrest by firing warning shots into the air and using crowd control measures. No injuries were reported during the incident. The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to the Rahat police station for interrogation. The police also recovered weapons during the raid. Earlier, in early 2026, the police had launched a significant operation called "New Order" in Tarabin, during which a resident named Muhammad Hassin Tarabin (Al-Sana) was fatally shot by police during operational activities.
