Israeli Police Seize Stolen Vehicles and Cigarettes in Southern Tarabin Raid

Israeli police conducted a raid on the village of Tarabin in southern Israel on Tuesday as part of an operation by the Negev District detectives and the Southern National Guard of the Border Police. During the search, officers seized two stolen ATVs, a stolen motorcycle, a suspected stolen trailer, 59 packs of cigarettes, over 25,000 shekels in cash, and two communication devices. Two suspects, aged 21 and 54 and residents of Tarabin, were arrested and taken for further questioning at the Negev Central Unit.

The police arrived at a compound and a house in Tarabin equipped with a search warrant. The operation is part of a series of police actions in recent months targeting the village. Last month, hundreds of officers raided locations in Tarabin and Be'er Sheva, confiscating weapons, ammunition, and dozens of vehicles worth millions of shekels. In a July incident, detectives and National Guard fighters entered Tarabin to arrest a local resident found in possession of a handgun. During their exit, stones were thrown at the officers, who responded with crowd control measures and warning shots into the air.
