Suspect Arrested in Violent Disturbances Investigation in Qusra

Security forces apprehended a suspect on Thursday who is believed to have been involved in the violent incidents that occurred in Qusra last Saturday. The suspect was located at a construction site after evading authorities, with a police source noting he "fled like a wanted man."

The arrest is part of an ongoing joint investigation by the Shin Bet and the Judea and Samaria District police, aimed at identifying all individuals involved in the attacks. According to an investigation report, a breakthrough has been made, with investigators dividing the events into three separate incidents, focusing on two severe cases: the assault on a Palestinian couple and the attack on the NBC crew in Jalud.

Investigators believe 30 to 40 people participated in each incident, with approximately ten directly involved in the assaults. So far, eight suspects have been identified, and arrest warrants have been issued. Most of these suspects have been on the run, and two previous attempts to apprehend them were unsuccessful.

Evidence collected includes a pickup truck used by the rioters and video footage documenting some of the acts, reportedly even in the presence of IDF soldiers. However, cooperation from the NBC crew has been partial, with only one member providing testimony. The vehicle's window was repaired before it could be examined for fingerprints. Investigators are also examining the timeline and Palestinian claims that an IDF force arrived at the scene only after about 30 minutes.
