Breakthrough in Investigation of Violent Clashes in Qusra, Eight Suspects Identified

Israeli security forces have achieved a significant breakthrough in the investigation into violent clashes that occurred in the Palestinian village of Qusra. A joint team from the Shin Bet and the Judea and Samaria District Police is focusing on two main incidents: the assault of a Palestinian couple and the attack on an NBC news crew in Jalud. Investigators believe that some members of a convoy that arrived in Qusra participated in the Jalud attacks.

During the events, between 30 and 40 individuals were involved, with approximately ten participating directly in the assaults. Eight suspects have been identified, and arrest warrants have been issued for them. However, most of the suspects are currently at large, and two attempts to apprehend them have been unsuccessful. A pickup truck used by the rioters has been seized, and investigators have obtained video footage from Palestinians documenting parts of the events, including the presence of IDF soldiers.

Regarding the attack on the NBC crew, only one member has come forward to provide testimony. The vehicle's windshield was repaired before it could be examined for fingerprints. Palestinian accounts indicate that IDF forces arrived at the scene approximately half an hour after the incident, a timeline that is now being investigated. The NBC crew's cooperation with the investigation has been partial.
