Gur Hasidim Plan Unusual Night Protest Against Yeshiva Draft

The Gur Hasidic community is preparing for an unusual nighttime protest tomorrow against the conscription of yeshiva students. This decision followed a lengthy meeting on Saturday night between the Gur Rebbe and activist Shimon Shisha, who works on draft issues for the ultra-Orthodox community. During the meeting, they discussed intensifying protests, focusing primarily on the IDF's Meitav unit and recruitment offices.

The protest preparations come amid the arrest of a student from the "Sfat Emet" yeshiva. The Gur Hasidim estimate that if the student is not released, the Gur Rebbe himself may attend a protest rally outside the detention site as early as tomorrow. The planned demonstration is expected to resemble a large rally held at the same location several weeks ago, though a final decision on the scale of the event is still pending and will be made in the coming hours.
