Lebanese Soldier Killed by Hezbollah After Entering Security Zone Without Coordination
Earlier on Saturday, a Lebanese Army vehicle triggered an explosive device in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to two others. Investigations revealed that the device was not planted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) but was likely placed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The incident occurred in the Al-Mansouri area within the security zone in southern Lebanon, where IDF forces have not been present recently. It was confirmed that the Lebanese Army vehicle entered the security zone without prior coordination with the IDF, as required by the existing coordination mechanism. The IDF stated, "The IDF calls on civilians and forces in the area to avoid entering zones where Hezbollah continues to pose a threat and to coordinate movements in advance as usual, for their safety."
