Maccabi Haifa Signs Brazilian Defender Wanderson Tsunami from Turkish Second Division
Maccabi Haifa announced the signing of 30-year-old Brazilian defender and left-back Wanderson Tsunami as part of their squad preparations for the upcoming season. Tsunami, who recently completed the current season in Turkey's second division with Igdir, is expected to arrive in Israel on the evening of July 26, 2026, undergo medical tests, and then join the team.
Tsunami began his professional career at Remo in Brazil and played for several Brazilian clubs before moving to Levski Sofia in January 2022. At Levski Sofia, he became a key player, served as captain, and won both the league championship and the national cup. In January 2026, he transferred to Igdir in Turkey's second division, where he made 16 appearances, scored two goals, and provided one assist.
