Maccabi Haifa Signs Brazilian Defender Wanderson Tsunami from Turkish Second Division

Maccabi Haifa announced the signing of 30-year-old Brazilian defender and left-back Wanderson Tsunami as part of their squad preparations for the upcoming season. Tsunami, who recently completed the current season in the Turkish second division with Igdir, is expected to arrive in Israel for medical tests before officially joining the team.

Tsunami began his professional career at Remo in Brazil and played for several Brazilian clubs before moving to Levski Sofia in January 2022. At Levski Sofia, he became a key player and captain, helping the team win both the league championship and the national cup. In January 2024, he transferred to Igdir in Turkey, where he made 16 appearances, scored two goals, and provided one assist.

Maccabi Haifa continues to strengthen its roster ahead of the new season, aiming to build a competitive squad with experienced international players like Tsunami.
