Israeli Woman Suspected as Key Figure in Boyfriend's Jerusalem Murder Plot

Agam Tzarfati, 19, from Jerusalem, is the main suspect in the murder of her former boyfriend, Beniya Razi, who was killed in an Airbnb apartment in Jerusalem. Authorities revealed that Tzarfati and her friend, Shilat Huta, allegedly planned the killings of their abusive partners as retaliation. They reportedly contacted a criminal associate, showed him signs of abuse, then left the apartment to go to Linor Sasson’s home in Neve Yaakov. The three, accompanied by minors, traveled to the murder scene where the minors carried out the killing. Upon arrival, Tzarfati and Sasson stayed in the car while Huta and the minors entered the apartment and committed the murder, later showing Tzarfati and Sasson the aftermath.

Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court extended Tzarfati’s detention by seven days, with Judge Ariel Ehrlich citing strengthened suspicions against her. Tzarfati’s public defender, Omri Stern, stated she denies any involvement. Police attribute significant planning roles to Huta, who also denies involvement. Police claim the murder was ordered by the main suspect as revenge after the two women were assaulted by their partners. Sasson, 50, with a criminal record including a recent conviction for extortion, is suspected of facilitating the murder and assisting afterward.

Additionally, a traffic policewoman related to one suspect is under investigation for allegedly obstructing justice by meeting suspects shortly after the murder and failing to report critical information. On Sunday, six suspects aged 16 to 18, including girls and one adult woman who allegedly aided but did not participate in the murder, were arrested. Police maintain the murder was premeditated revenge against the victims, who had subjected the suspects to severe violence. The family of the victim has publicly expressed that the warning signs were clear before the killing.
