Israeli Police Uncover Plot and Multiple Suspects in Jerusalem Murder of Benyahu Razi

On July 11, 2023, Benyahu Razi, a 19-year-old, was fatally stabbed in a Jerusalem neighborhood called Nachlaot. Text messages between Tzarfati and Razi days before the murder revealed a volatile relationship marked by mutual threats, violence, and restraining orders. On the day of the attack, after a dispute escalated, Tzarfati and Huta left the apartment, gathered the minors, and returned to confront Razi and Matania. The attack was recorded live by Huta, who did not intervene, while Tzarfati watched and encouraged the assault.

Following the murder, the suspects fled, with some arrested shortly after and others, like Aviaor Sasson, captured weeks later. Prosecutors filed serious charges including intentional murder against Tzarfati, Huta, and four minors, while Sasson was charged with aiding and obstructing justice. Investigators criticized the suspects for their lack of remorse and attempts to mislead the investigation.
