Man Arrested for Stabbing Pregnant Partner in Bat Yam Apartment

Israeli police arrested a man from Bat Yam on suspicion of stabbing his pregnant partner in their apartment early Friday morning. Officers from the Bat Yam station responded to reports and found the 44-year-old woman with stab wounds and significant blood around her. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Initial investigations revealed the stabbing occurred after a dispute between the couple, with the suspect fleeing the scene. Police collected evidence at the scene, including the knife allegedly used in the attack. After extensive searches, the suspect was located and arrested in Holon and is now under investigation at the Bat Yam police station. Authorities plan to request an extension of his detention in court.

The stabbing comes amid a series of violent incidents in the region. On Saturday, a 19-year-old was fatally stabbed in a vacation apartment in Jerusalem's Nahlaot neighborhood, prompting a police manhunt. In Haifa, two men in their 30s were seriously injured in a stabbing during a fight. Earlier, a 32-year-old man was critically shot in Jaffa's Jerusalem Boulevard and later died in the hospital. Police have arrested six suspects connected to the Jerusalem murder and extended their detention as investigations continue.
