Man Stabs Pregnant Partner in Bat Yam, Flees and Is Arrested After Manhunt

A 44-year-old pregnant woman was found bleeding from stab wounds in her Bat Yam apartment following a violent argument with her partner. The incident occurred early Friday morning on Derech Ben Gurion street. Police responding to the emergency call discovered the woman with multiple stab wounds and bloodstains; she was evacuated to medical care in stable condition.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed his partner several times with a knife and then fled the scene, leaving behind incriminating evidence including the weapon. Bat Yam police launched an extensive search across the city and nearby areas to locate the suspect.

The man was apprehended in the city of Holon shortly after the attack and taken for questioning at the Bat Yam police station. Authorities plan to request an extension of his detention in court on Friday morning.
